What a sensible minimum looks like
- ✅ List the AI tools your staff actually use
- ✅ Set clear rules on what can and can't be pasted in
- ✅ Provide role-appropriate, hands-on training
- ✅ Cover key risks: hallucinations, confidentiality, human review
- ✅ Keep a simple record of who was trained, and when
- ✅ Revisit it as tools and roles change

The timeline, in one line
Article 4 has applied since February 2025. From 2 August 2026, national market surveillance authorities can supervise and enforce it. That second date is what turns this from theoretical into something a regulator might actually ask you about.
